SweetGrass Shades owner Ignatius “Iggy” Dauchot recently traveled to beautiful Denver, CO to earn his Master Shutter Installer certification from Hunter Douglas Window Fashions. This multi-day training event featured instructors with decades of plantation shutter installation experience and intensive hands-on collaborative projects, including:
-specialty shape windows (e.g. arches, extended arches, eyebrows, etc)
-double-hung shutters
-by-pass tracks
-bay windows
The training also focused on important architectural and aesthetic considerations all clients should be aware of when ordering their shutters. Louver sizes, frame styles, and tilting mechanisms all need to be discussed before making this significant investment in ones home.
